Welcome to my blog dedicated to the filmmaker Isaac Julien.
Julien has been producing and directing his own films since the
1980's, offering the art world a variety of films that have inherently
beautiful aesthetics and extremely loaded subject matter. To hear

Hi Jenna: I will tell you this after my frustration dealing with trying to get my Mom to listen to my podcast today. The directions are too confusing. Holding down the control key, etc.. Many people might get frustrated with that - I think more useful is to embed images in your audio file or rather just make a video podcast. And again as I've been barking at others - author your work with your name and take the 'edit me's out of your page so it looks finished. I'm not sure this is a podcast but rather audio embedded in a blog because there are no rrs or subscribe buttons. Nice site and images - your voice sounds very clear to me. Nice site over all. I would not worry about copyright - this is an educational pursuit - you can also site your image source as a hyperlink next to the image itself. Also if you got many of the images from books, you already have them listed in your biblio so you appear very honest. Stating your fears on the site as a paragraph makes you look more guilty and I don't think you are doing anything wrong! Good work! Jane

Good work. I liked your podcast and I really appreciated the fact that you took the time to show us some of his works. The documentation from his gallery exhibits was also very helpful as it allowed me to get some sense of the scale of his work. THe only negative comment I have is that your site is a bit inconsistent from the design point of view. Maybe you could streamline some of the font sizes and colors. It would make your site look more unified and less confusing.
